Look up the "revolving door in Washington" for companies like Monsanto and the GMO debate, the FDA and others. Many of these people leave a big corporation, have corporate PACs and supporters that buy their ticket into politics, they propose legislation written by the corporations, serve their term then return to the same companies at higher positions.
