No matter where you stand on the issue about Venezuela please take a second and check this out.
I was speaking to my coworker who is a native born Venezuelan, that has been living here in the states for about a year now.
He brought up the issue of this American citizen named Carlos Avendaño that was living with his family back in Venezuela, he did not participate in the opposition protests but merely stepped outside to see what was going on.
The military (or the government's "security")
arrested this man on terrorism charges that are completely bogus, didnt help the situation either that he is a native Venezuelan that became a U.S. citizen.
Carlos's rights have been taken away, they just recently gave him permission to talk to his family/receive food from them, and no one (that i've seen) is covering this story.
Like I stated in the beginning of this, no matter where you stand this needs to be talked about.
Please if you have the time someone has created a White House petition to let the government know what is happening and that Carlos should be a free man.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
