Yesterday evening the French capital was burning again and the streets were lit up by flares - after many thousands of protesters took to the streets to take part in the demonstrations.
The demonstrations started out due to the huge taxes on fuel, and a new green tax. But the demo's are also anti-government and anti-Macron.
The streets of Paris have been absolute carnage - with riot police using many tactics to attack the protesters - including rushing at them and then beating them with batons to deploying water cannons, tear gas and shooting the protesters with rubber bullets. So far over 100 people have been injured.
As soon as Emannuel Macron returned from the G20 summit, he went to the Arc de Triomphe, which was covered in graffiti which read - "we've chopped off heads for less than this" and "Topple the bourgeoisie".
