Lots of wind yesterday and it will be again the case today so I continue keeping a rather low profile. Overall I made about half a unit profit on the night but am still down a bit on the week before going into Sunday where 3 quite interesting matches are on the program...
Antwerp vs Charleroi
Both teams played a mid-week match with Charleroi having 2 days more time to recover. Antwerp played 1-1 against Genk which was a fair result over the entire match. Charleroi took another win 2-1 score in a classic Charleroi match were not all that much risk was taken. Charleroi is a team I'm looking to back when they are underdogs or favorite with a low line as they rarely lose a match. Antwerp, on the other hand, is a rock-solid home team going 9W-3D-0L at home. They only marginally beat the Asian closing line though. I'm not quite sure how this match will play out as it's possible to make a case for an open encounter as both are quite safe into to top 6 with nothing to lose while it might also end as a very closed down encounter since both probably don't mind the draw. I did just take a tiny position on the Underdog taking Charleroi +0.5 @ 1.862 and I will see how it goes live. In-game match picture might give a much better indication of where to go with this one betting wise.
Genk vs Standard
Standard has been quite reliable in not putting up good performances as of late while Genk has been in an uptrend taking 3 wins in a row now. Ito is injured for Genk while Striker Oulare is suspended for Standard. I can't say I fully trust these teams but given the increasing form of the home team and Standard who nearly always struggle on the road, I have to take a medium pre-game bet on Genk +0 @ 1.82. Teams coming from behind in the standings often play with more will to win while the draw would not be the worst result. Standard has been scoring a lot of late goals which might be overly adjusted into the line in cars the score is a draw late in the match. Both teams probably rather settle for a draw than take the risk to go for the win and lose on the counter.
Zulte-Waregem vs Moeskroen
Zulte-Waregem is a team with many different faces. usually good at home against mediocre teams while falling short on the road and having no chance against top teams. Today is one of those matches where they play at home against a mediocre team. Moeskroen took a deserved win last week against a poor Oostende and played free without worries. The week before they didn't show all that much away against Anderlecht. Zulte-Waregem still has their eye on playoff 1 but they have to take the win tonight while Moeskroen has nothing to play for. It will very likely be Zulte-Waregem who will move forward while Moeskroen taking their chance on the counter. Zulte-Waregem has shown to be quite unstable in defense at times which is the main thing that worries me to get in on them. I did get a tiny bet on Zulte-Waregem -0.5 @ 1.841 just because my personal notes highly point toward that . Beer money bet on Zulte-Waregem to win & Both To Score @ 3.15+ , along with a 2-1 FT score @ 9.20 are also options. I'm looking forward to this one.
