Hi everyone!
This year will be very important for one of the most iconic, visited and photographed landmarks in Prague, the legendary Charles Bridge. This famous piece of medieval architecture will undergo an extensive reconstruction that is expected to take approximately 20 years.

The reconstruction works will begin later this year and they will start from the Lesser Town side of the bridge. The Charles Bridge consists of some 66 thousand massive stone blocks and during the reconstruction, all of these blocks will be examined and marked with a special registration number.

It is not know yet how much the reconstruction works will affect the tourism traffic on the bridge but if you haven´t visited this iconic Prague landmark yet, you are recommended to do so before the works begin.
