The number of Brazilians who use virtual coins may reach one million by the end of the year. This is the estimate of the executive director of FlowBTC, a digital currency trading platform, Marcelo Miranda. He participated, on Wednesday (5), the first public hearing promoted by the special commission that analyzes the subject.
According to Miranda, today between 200 thousand and 250 thousand people have or have had virtual currencies in Brazil. "This volume is growing a lot and we estimate that by the end of this year it could be close to one million people who have bitcoin or have a bitcoin portfolio."
