In the past I have expressed my reservations about this one YouTuber whose channel is named Hawk's Podcasts. He goes by the user name of Hawk. However, I must give him credit where credit is due. In his video below, he thoroughly describes the legal process through which Jonathan Ross, who is the Immigration and Citizenship Enforcement ("ICE") agent that killed the late Renee Nicole Good in Minnesota, will be put. At the same time, I disagree with YouTuber Hawk that this matter is purely partisan and political.
YouTuber Hawk Provides His Outlook On The Criminal Matter Of Jonathan Ross
Now, YouTuber Hawk? If you're reading my article here, I'd like to interject this one thought. I wholeheartedly agree with you that Mr. Ross should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. There is no question that he committed a murder in cold blood. However, please do not treat this matter as being political and partisan.
The fact that Hennepin County District Attorney Mary Moriarty and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison are both Democrats doesn't erase the fact that New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New York State Attorney General Letitia James, who are both Democrats, have turned their backs on Sammy Howard when this poor gentleman has needed their help more than ever. I described Mr. Howard's situation in my last article here on this writing platform.
If Ms. Moriarty and Mr. Ellison were both diehard conservative Republicans, it would still be their duly obligation to bring down the full wrath of the law upon Mr. Ross. Nobody should get to escape their professional responsibilities as public servants merely to be loyal to their own political party.
Will the Federal Bureau of Investigation ("FBI") withhold important evidence in the matter? I'm not going to lie to anyone. The FBI is a government institution that can be best described as an apple that has been rotting from within for decades.
When Kash Patel became the new FBI director and had the goal of cleaning house at this agency, he took on an extremely overwhelming task. The FBI is undoubtedly another Gestapo, and it will take a very long time for Mr. Patel to undo the corruption that has gripped this same government institution throughout the years.
Nonetheless, I honestly don't believe that Mr. Patel and United States Attorney General Pam Bondi are going to do anything to obstruct justice and withhold evidence against Mr. Ross. What would either one of them have to gain from doing so, even if they do have low opinions of the late Ms. Good?
I fully get it that Mr. Patel and Ms. Bondi wish to wage war against domestic terrorism, and domestic terrorism is not something that can be ignored here in the United States. However, if they really want to stamp out domestic terrorism, the first thing they both need to do is to defund the Internet Crimes Against Children ("I.C.A.C.") program and put an end to that outfit's war against teenage sex.
Mr. Patel and Ms. Bondi should acknowledge that Chris-Hansen-style online vigilantes and "predator" catchers are domestic terrorists and need to be taken off our streets once and for all. These people have been allowed to manipulate our nation's broken statutory-rape laws and pedophilia hysteria for way too long.
President Donald J. Trump should push for Federal laws that would require that each "predator" catcher that actually goes after real child predators to obtain a private investigator's license. That is, "predator" catchers that stop real pedophiles that prey on prepubescent children under 11 years old should each still have to obtain a private investigator's license so that they are legally obligated to follow a code of conduct in their duties as volunteer law-enforcement people.
Let's stop putting all the blame on one political party for incidents like that of the late Ms. Good. Democrats and Republicans in office are scuffling with one another and pulling American civilians into the middle of their battles at our detriment and expense, and it all needs to stop.
Instead of Republican elected officials and Democratic elected officials, including appointed officials from both parties, pulling innocent civilians into the middle of their scuffles with one another, they need to be governing our localities, our state jurisdictions, and our nation instead. The incident involving the late Ms. Good is not a matter of whether she was a domestic terrorist or Mr. Ross is a domestic terrorist.
That same incident is really a matter of the fact that Mr. Ross shot and killed the late Ms. Good, when he could have easily shot her tires and ruptured them to stop her from running him over if she had really intended to do so. Mr. Ross is going to face trial; and if he is found guilty, he is going to prison, period.
Never mind who is a Democrat and who is a Republican. This tragedy is absolutely non-partisan, and it deserves to remain that way.
Do I agree with any of the statements that the Trump administration has made about the late Ms. Good? No, I don't. As a moderate Independent, I contend that both political parties are behaving insensitively to this tragedy with the late Ms. Good.
If Kamala Harris had won the 2024 presidential election here in the United States and she had signed executive orders to hire new ICE agents and expand the budget for ICE, who is not to say that she would have been critical of the late Ms. Good despite that she would have no reason to be? American civilians are not political punching bags. We are all human.
Now, if Mr. Ross is convicted of murder and sent to prison, will President Trump request a meeting with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for them to sit down to a cup of tea and discuss whether Governor Walz will grant a gubernatorial pardon to Mr. Ross? He may do so, but I don't think he wants to do so. He has to know that it's really up to the courts as for what happens to Mr. Ross.
Anyhow, let's just say that President Trump does ask to meet with Governor Walz to discuss the pardoning of Mr. Ross. In that event, Governor Walz will likely ask to hold that meeting with Vice President JD Vance instead inasmuch as both men have met and spoken with each other during the 2024 vice-presidential debates.
Even though Governor Walz and Vice President Vance are from different political parties, they both seem to get along with each other fairly well. After Vice President Vance asks Governor Walz if he would grant a gubernatorial pardon to Mr. Ross, Governor Walz will probably give him a polite "no" as his answer; but he will allow Vice President Vance to meet with him in his office there in Minnesota. Oh, well, that's life.
American citizens do not vote elected officials into office for them to put us in the middle of their partisan battles and for them to appoint government officials that aid and abet them in doing so. We vote them into office for them to find ways to give us all a better quality of life and to run our government institutions efficiently and fairly. The same principle applies to appointed officials as well.
