Trump Impeached? Not exactly... Since Nancy Pelosi is holding the articles of impeachment and decided to not finalize impeachment in the house by sending it to the Senate, this may mean that Trump has NOT been formally impeached in the House of Representatives. It's a small detail, a formality really but this can be argued in favor of Republicans if taken to court. In fact, from the position of the Senate, if Pelosi holds the articles for an unreasonable amount of time then, with public support, Trump's entire impeachment can be dropped.
Nancy put herself and the current Democrat presidential candidates in Congress and the Senate in an awkward position. If she holds it the would mean people like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren would be unable to go traveling for their campaign, since they have to deal with the impeachment (once it reaches the senate). Who knows what Nancy will do next, but ultimately this was a bad move by the Democrats. This will hurt democrats who are campaigning more than it will hurt Trump.
