A Toronto based mining company named Royal Nickel Corporation just announced that its employees in Australia removed a golden boulder like few others ever found in the world.
Within a single cube of earth that measured roughly three meters wide, three meters long, and three meters deep they found 9000 ounces of gold!
The boulder is worth around $15 million at gold's current price.
The company primarily mines nickel but they will find on average 2-4 grams of gold per ton at the Beta Hunt mine, this boulder weighed 95 kilograms and had 9000 oz's of AU inside it!
Rather than melt the boulder down it will probably be listed as a museum piece and sold for over it's current value.
They also found other large despoits consisting of a rediculous amount of gold content.
The Nickle Mining company had the mine listed for sale but after finding this new paystreak it has been taken off the market!
