The United States prohibits its officials from traveling to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, for "a threat to security"

The US Embassy in Mexico City banned from this Wednesday and until further notice to its employees travel to Playa del Carmen (Quintana Roo, Mexico), after receiving "information about a security threat."
