Do you know how many people are watching you at any given moment? Chances are there are more then you think.
That is especially true for the US, where the terror hysteria has led to a police-state like surveillance of the citizen, even while terrorism is one of the very low entries on the list of causes of death. In fact anti-terror kills.
But still this the surveillance gets ever more wider and deeper.
Investigative website Buzzfeed now looked into how much planes might spy on you, before they get exchanged with drones and the spying hundredfolds.
They trained an AI and used Big Data approach to analyze flight behavior of airplanes. What they found is astounding - it seems like everybody is flying around to look down on you!
This includes a number of company airplanes that belong to either contractors or post box companies that are just hiding places for FBI&Co.
Of course most of the institutions detected don't want to be openly discussed. So they often have cover stories. Sometimes they are good, sometimes they are like this:
...said the plane had been watching harbor porpoises. It was a pilot project for planned studies of the endangered vaquita — the world’s rarest marine mammal, found only in the northern reaches of Mexico’s Gulf of California — Kisfaludy said.
Buzzfeed News verified that SciFly was collaborating with the Marine Mammal Center, just north of San Francisco, on the porpoise project. But the center said that the dates didn’t match, and Kisfaludy’s explanation for these particular flights didn’t make much sense, as most of the circling was over land.
Must be a new branch of evolution, sea creatures roaming mainly on land.
