Tesla Motors Reveals New Products - Tesla Model Y & New Battery Pac...

Tesla Motors has a lot of new treaties coming out for us :-)

'TESLA ENERGY' BATTERY PACKS WITH NEW ARCHITECTURE.

These new battery cells are going to be bigger, than current models. The size will increase from 18650 to 20700.
Also, the battery packs will be smaller thanks to better packaging and cooling.

CEO Elon Musk revealed that the first vehicle battery packs will be coming out of their factory in about 6 months, and are to be used as development battery pack for the Model 3.
Then next year, battery packs for the Model S and X will be also coming out for validation and production.
They are all going to be produced in Tesla's new Gigafactory (currently, still being build)

TESLA MODEL Y.

Elon Musk has just confirmed his plans to produce new SUV. Model Y will built based on the Model 3's chassis.
Full details are yet to be known but it is likely to share the same engine and battery combination as the Model 3 (Range up to 345 km and acceleration of 0-100 km/h in less than six seconds).
Because Tesla Motors, has confirmed that Model 3 will be equipped with their new Autopilot and Ludicrous modes , it means that these modes are likely to be introduced in Model Y.
