I recently ordered Whitney Webb's new two volume book One Nation Under Blackmail, about Jeffrey Epstein's child sex trafficking ring. Having summarized over 100 news reports on the subject, I'm fairly familiar with the crime ring, and I ordered the books to add to my collection of works about deep politics. They're great reference materials documenting the way that intelligence agencies and organized crime networks work together to control powerful figures with blackmail.
Beyond general reference, I ordered Webb's works to learn more about the role of Alan Dershowitz in Epstein's activities. Little things like Dershowitz' bizarre involvement with Qatar, which was widely criticized by his peers, have led me over the years to suspect that the attorney had some kind of relationship with the CIA or other high government office which was used to pull strings for Epstein. Nothing in the books confirmed or denied my suspicions.
Here's what One Nation Under Blackmail had to say about Dershowitz:
He hired future FBI director Louis Freeh to investigate the Epstein scandal, which he allegedly did by harassing Epstein's victims (vol.1p436).
He was accused of having sex with Virginia Giuffre when she was underage and under Epstein's control (vol.2p122).
He was introduced to Epstein by Lynn Forester de Rothschild, and the intro was framed as a favor to Epstein (vol.2p222).
He flew on Epstein's plane with a Microsoft CTO and other important figures (vol.2p332).
To be honest, I was a little surprised that this was the extent of One Nation Under Blackmail's look at Dershowitz. But even these details, considered together, are revealing. The man was part of the machinery supporting Epstein. While Dershowitz denies the allegations against him, even if the worst of these are false, he was still a part of that machinery.
In General
The rest of One Nation Under Blackmail boggles my mind. I'm naturally terrible with names. And dates. I forget the names of people and things. All of time in my memory is just one big blur and I rarely remember when things happened. These books are all names and dates. If I try to read them straight through, I'll definitely forget their contents immediately.
Fortunately, Webb's work is meticulously indexed, which makes it excellent reference material. And every part of the books that I've so far explored is perfectly clean and clear. They'll go on the shelf next to Poisoner in Chief. They'll make great reading on a rainy day.
One thing I would love to see is a visual map of Epstein's total network. Has anyone done this yet? If not, I could make such a map. A website called Kumu makes it relatively easy.
