On Sunday morning a warehouse full of bales of plastic waiting to get recycled caught fire and quickly spread through the building. The smoke from the fire could be seen for miles, all this happened about half a mile away from where i live,Bootle in Liverpool.
Due to the direction of the wind i couldn't smell the fire that much or couldn't really see much smoke, due to houses blocking my view.In the afternoon i started smell the fire and noticed smoke in the street where i live. This happened due to the wind changing direction, then in no time the whole street was full of smoke, luckily enough it wasn't very thick and sort of looked like mist or fog, very eerie.
No one was injured in the incident but a busy road was blocked off all day. When i went the shop on Monday morning the fire engines were still there, spraying water on the warehouse, the road was still closed causing causing heavy traffic in the area.
