Now that Ethreum mining competition increases and combined with the drop of ethreums value. Miners have been spotted selling off their heavily used Mining RIGs on Ebay.
This is an ongoing saga involving graphics cards and mining. They said that its the same scenario as before, where the mining boom and eventual bust leads to miners selling off their Mining Rigs. But in this case, the markups on used cards are obviously insane.
It was listed at $4,895, though the seller accepted an undisclosed "best offer" price. It is a Pentium system outfitted with eight GeForce GTX 1060 cards with 6GB of GDDR5 memory. Excluding the graphics cards, there is about $700 worth of hardware and software
Let's do some computation.
$4,895 - $700 = $4,195. / 8 GPU's to account for the GeForce GTX 1060 cards, and its about $524. per card where in it is supposed to sell for $200 . The system sold for less, but even if the seller accepted $4,500 for his setup, that still breaks down to $475 per graphics card. Seller said ... at least they were "running for just a couple of weeks,"
Easy money. Right?
