This Saturday, opposition protests in several Honduran cities, including the capital Tegucigalpa, have led to clashes with police officers, who have used tear gas against demonstrators.
Supporters of the former candidate for the presidency of Honduras, Salvador Nasralla, have cut several roads with trucks and have built stone barricades and burned tires.
As a result, a man, aged, was killed by a gunshot while walking near a demonstration in the city of Saba (Department of Colon). According to the Honduran newspaper El Heraldo, the victim is called Telmo Villareal.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Security, Jair Meza, has declared that the death of said man, as well as the cases of injured people, are being investigated. He added that a total of 12 individuals have been arrested in the midst of clashes with the police.
