Today we got the news we have been waiting for.
We didn't know what the results would be, positive or negative but we have tried to stay calm {relatively calm} during all these days. My son was the most affected by the waiting time... the results of the admission exams would significantly affect his future - where he would study what he had decided to be part of his life. We talk about the musical instrument he plays - the violin.
Uncertainty - he told me when I asked in a slightly harsh voice why he was so absent and anxious already for days.

Those who follow my posts lately know that I have that new little hobby that helps me to relax and bring peacefulness. I know that I don't do it in a great way... I am not an artist in that field, but still, it gives me joy to see that something always comes out on those rocks that I call "victims". This is just a joke, of course, they are just rocks that are transformed into kindness rocks. So, today, the sky was gloomy but we still went to the beach to spend some time there. Bad news, we would not enjoy any sunshine. Good news - I will just entertain myself with some rocks.
This reminds me of the ancient story of the Chinese farmer that we heard many years ago. I will try to retell it somehow... A Chinese man, a farmer had a horse but it ran away, so the neighbour said it was bad news. The farmer's answer was "Good news, bad news, who can say?". The horse came back later with another horse, which would be great news, right? It was given to the farmer's son, but the boy fell and broke his leg. Such bad news... but you can sense what the wise man answered... "Good news, bad news, who can say?" That broken leg was the reason why the young man was freed from the obligation to go to the war.

The uncertainty that my son felt has become a certainty today. He successfully passed the admission exams for music conservatories in both cities he had tried!
