Shafiq Afridi, a newly elected Independent Assembly Member of the Khyber Pashtun District, has joined the PTI while the government has claimed that four more members will soon join the PTI.
Shafiq Afridi, a newly elected member of the KP-107 District Assembly constituency in the Khyber District, met on Thursday with Islamabad-based Center for Criminal Justice, Jehangir Tareen, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Furman and Chief Minister Mahmud Khan.
The number of PTI members has increased to 6 from the tribal districts. Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has invited the newly elected independents to join the PTI, the government claims that more independent members will join the PTI soon. Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has welcomed Shafiq Afridi's participation in the PTI.
He assured the people of the tribal district of Khyber for their progress and prosperity while saying that the progress and prosperity of the entire province was dear to them.
