With 5,823,728 votes, the President of the Republic and candidate for re-election Nicolás Maduro was the winner in the presidential elections on May 20, announced the president of the National Electoral Council, Tibisay Lucena, in the first results bulletin offered this Sunday. at 10:20 at night.
In second place was the opposition candidate Henri Falcón with 1,820,552 votes. The third position was held by Javier Bertucci, with 925,042 votes. In fourth place is Reinaldo Quijada, with 34,614 votes.
The total number of valid votes was 8,603,936 nationwide.
The Rector Lucena offered the results with a 92.6% transmission. The participation in the day stood at 46.01% with a projection at 48%.
Lucena called for the electoral results to be respected, "that they respect the people of Venezuela who decided, and decided in peace."
