The UN agency is closely monitoring the ongoing anti-drug campaign in Bangladesh. In a statement on Saturday, the company's drug and anti-crime office (UNODC) said in a statement.
In the statement, UNODC has called on member states to follow the steps taken in the UN General Assembly's special session on the three international Convention and Drug Problems aimed at controlling drugs all over the world. In this endeavor, the United Nations agency is closely monitoring the ongoing anti-drug campaign.
It is also mentioned in the statement that we are ready to assist all the countries in providing proper legal protection in line with international standards and customs so that the culprits can be brought to justice, and to provide support to their information-based protection, treatment, rehabilitation and re-establishment.
In fact, more than 120 people have been killed in the ongoing operation against anti-narcotics since May 4. There are also several thousand arrested.
