Currently, I am in Palawan but I am sad to see the news on my feed that a fire hits Ayala Mall in Cebu. It said that the fire started on the 3rd floor around 9:30 PM. The people who were inside the cinemas, coffee shops and other boutiques were told to evacuate the mall. The guards never said a word at first what was happening in order to avoid panic.
People got out of the mall and were shocked to see that there were a lot of fire trucks. It turned out that some of the fire alarms didn't work. The mall shoppers had no idea if nobody ever from the mall personnel told the people.
The local disaster official stated that it will take 2 days before the fire dies. Passing through the Cebu Business Park is not really good as there is hazing alert ongoing. But for those people who pass by it because of cab routes going there, better wear a face mask.
Thank goodness that customers and mall personnel were safely evacuated. A few weeks ago, there was a fire incident happened in Davao City at NCCC Mall. Gosh, I don't want to see shopping malls burning in different parts of the Philippines.
Bravo to that mall personnel from Ayala mall for handling the matter in a calm way as the life of the customers is also important. Cheers to the brave firefighters for not stopping. Hopefully, the fire will die soon.
