I wrote an appeal yesterday and am completely blown away to see that we have already raised over $300 in the form of pending payouts and donations.
This will to go towards the purchase of quality SOLAR PRODUCTS to be distributed amongst the growing number of refugees (who have been forced out of their homes into camps, waiting for a volcano which may or may not do anything at all!)
Most of them are currently without access to the grid and the government is wasting what little money they have on expensive and noisy diesel generators to provide light and power.
We at STEEMIT are helping improve their experience of the world at this difficult time.
All Steem generated from yesterday's post see here (currently around $240 pending payout) will be given to this cause.
If you have not already done so, please play your part by upvoting & resteeming the intro post on this important subject.
I would like for as many people as possible to learn about the facts surrounding this HUGE evacuation and lack of funding to provide essentials for a growing number of refugees, and how Steemit is playing its part by contributing to the underprivileged in this difficult situation here on Bali.
More than this we are handing the power back to the people! When they return to their homes they will no longer be slaves to the energy system.
...and so the long overdue decentralisation energy production begins. Across an archipelago desperately in need of this!
My COMMITMENT to you and this cause
Any STEEM generated from posts relating to this subject will go to the purchase of solar products.
ALL donations and author rewards will be recorded on the steem blockchain visible for everyone to see.
On a weekly basis the donations & rewards will be exchanged for BTC and solar products will be purchased from Sundaya.
The total amount collected each week & cost of products will be 100% transparent
When the solar products are bought, I will personally film them being delivered to the people in the refugee camps and you will all see what a beautiful thing this amazing steemit community is doing right now.
I will also be using the account to document this amazing journey of STEEMIT GENEROSITY changing the world.
So please follow this account too.
Thanks again to all who have already contributed in some way, turning this potential disaster into a wonderful opportunity to educate people here on the power of decentralised SOLAR ENERGY!
So, please everyone... keep on upvoting, resteeming and alerting friends who you think would like to donate to this important cause.
In a poor country fast waking up to the awesome power of Steemit this event will really serve as a stunning example of what can be achieved through a focused intention created by this awesome Steemit community.
Special Thanks
to the following people
for already making donations to this important cause:
For now you can send any donations directly to my steemit wallet with a memo to indicate what it is for. I will keep a record of everyone who donates.
As soon as the dedicated refugee aid account is confirmed I will let you all know and this will be the place to send further donations.
We have no idea how long this situation will continue. It could yet be months.
The people of Bali thank you for your support. And I will do my best to let them know which platform has made this possible for them!
