Whose interests are at heart one has to ask? Those of the people or those of the corporations? The answer is clear because CBD has been already been proven effective for so many medical conditions. My own mother uses it to help with her insomnia!
Just last week the federal U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a decision by the DEA to list cannabidiol (CBD) as a Schedule 1 controlled substance under the Controlled Substances Act.
Please note CBD has no psychoactive effects and is not the same as THC, the active ingredient that gets you high when you smoke marijuana.
Schedule 1 controlled substances are described here:
Schedule 1 (I) drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined by the federal government as drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse. Schedule 1 (I) drugs are the most dangerous drugs of all the drug schedules with potentially severe psychological or physical dependence. DEA.org
Just to clarify, methamphetamine (aka crystal meth), cocaine, fentanyl, and oxycodone all fall under the Schedule 2 category in the Controlled Substances Act, meaning that CBD is supposedly more dangerous than these drugs.
The agenda here is not about fixing medical problems but guaranteeing repeat business for the medical industry. Anyone can grow cannabis but not anyone can produce pharmaceutical drugs.
Right... now to let my mother know she is using a very dangerous drug which is in the same category as heroin!
What a joke.
