Recently in Canada a convoy of gas gussling trucks drove the highways in protest of the provinces implementing a carbon tax.
The tax, which is a non-revenue generating tax (proceeds going back to the people) came about after the 2016 "Paris Climate Agreement," as Canada's way of showing the world that they are making steps toward reducing their carbon emissions and other green house gases.
It's not surprising to me that the biggest polluters are protesting against the tax but it really makes me think of people 30 years ago protesting against eliminating CFC's from household products, which were essentially destroying the ozone layer.
In the protest, some people were holding signs saying "Save Coal!"
What's next - people protesting to "Bring Back Asbestos!" ???
