A Spanish client group said Wednesday it's going to sue facebook over the alleged misuse of the non-public information of 26 million customers of the social community in Spain.
In a class-motion lawsuit, the group OCU stated it's going to searching for “at least” two hundred euros ($230) in reimbursement for each facebook person.
The claim will represent “all facebook users in Spain”, not simply those stricken by the Cambridge Analytica records sharing scandal, in which the British consultancy received the statistics of millions of fb customers for political purposes.
OCU stated it believes “fb violated legislation regarding statistics safety”, as it did now not inform customers how it might use their statistics, nor ask for his or her authorisation.
