Zurich - Germany again occupies the world number one position in the FIFA ranking list. Die Mannschaft overtook Brazil and Argentina.
The return of Germany to the top ranking can not be separated from their success in the 2017 Confederations Cup. In the event, Germany became champion after beating Chile 1-0 in the final.
This is the first time Germany has returned to the number-one position since being ousted from that position exactly two years ago.
With a total of 1,609 points, Germany is ahead of Brazil and Argentina, each one down. Meanwhile, Portugal is in fourth position.
Poland achieved their best ratings throughout history after finishing sixth. The Swede made a big jump by rising 16 levels to 18th position.
Meanwhile, Indonesia still sit in 175th position. Compared to other countries in Southeast Asia, Indonesia is under the Philippines (126), Thailand (131), Vietnam (133), Myanmar (157), Malaysia (167), Singapore (169), Laos (171) and Cambodia (173). Only Brunei Darussalam (188) and Timor Leste (196) are under Indonesia.
