As I continue my goal to have a steady passive income by the end of the year and I have found a great coin to do so with.
Burst coin is a coin that is mined with hard drives and not GPU. This means that the cost for the electricity is very very low reducing the overall impact of dirty GPU mining! I'm not going to go in depth on how that work but it is called Proof of Storage. there are plenty of tutorials and it coin is backed by an amazing community willing to help! Although mining the coin with your HDD is great I think the most amazing part of all is the Asset exchange. Below are extracts from a great post from Jervis which explain perfectly.
What is the asset exchange:
The Burst Asset Exchange is a built-in peer-to-peer exchange into the Burst Wallet. It allows fast, secure, and decentralized trading of Burst Assets. Because of its (Asset Exchange) decentralized nature, there's no need for outside organizations or agencies to meddle with its affairs. What are Asset shares?
Shares in an Asset is an equivalent to an entitlement of ownership over the Asset you have invested in. A person who buys a portion (percentage) of an Asset’s capital becomes a shareholder and as such is entitled to a share of the Asset's profits.
Shares that are bought are able to be traded on the Asset Exchange. Quick example:
I bought shares at the original price of 90 per 1 share. I bought 10,000 shares at 90 a share for a total 900,000 BURST. Since the asset issuer said the next batch of shares would cost 100 then 105 the original shares sold out fairly quick.
So today (less than 1 month from purchase) my shares are worth 1,000,000 Burst since the assets are now worth 100 each. If i where to sell all my shares at 100 I would make 100,000 burst ight away.
However since I hold my shares and this asset pays weekly I get more less 6,800 Burst per Week ( $4.5 USD more less) !

Another great example of a mining Asset call CCMNER100, this is solely an HDD mining farm that is constantly growing and releasing shares until the 1PB goal is met.

This asset is based on a 100% Burst mining operation with a large goal of 1 PB ! The shares are currently going a 11.5 but the original price is 10 Burst per 1 Share. The shares worth 10Burst are constantly released until the goal is met. Keep a good eye and save some cash on some shares :)
In this particular case by purchasing shares you are able to obtain a portion of the mining results. These results are paid daily ! Each day you get paid an estimated 0.1% !
Quick example.
Purchasing an 8TB drive on amazon with shipping is more less $250. Once you get the drive you need to start plotting it (preparing it to mine). The plotting of the drive depends on your computer but it can take hours or days. Once done your 8 TB plotted drive will have more less 7.2TB usable.
This means if you mine with you drive for 24 hours for 1 month you will earn moreless 447 Burst per 1 Day or 13,410 Burst in 1 month.
If I took those same $250 or 350,000 Burst and put them to the CCMINER Asset I would earn 379 Burst per day or 11,370 Burst per week. (68 burst less per day or 2,040 per month)
As you see it is very similar, however what I like about the asset is that you avoid having the drives running at home and then if you want to sell the drives you will have to use ebay or similar to sell them. So selling the shares is similar to selling the drives but most importantly you can sell the shares for a higher share price (ideally). Also in a few months time Burst coin will be worth a lot more and the drives probably less hehe
These are just a few ways I have diversified my Burst coin investment during the past 6 months. I own 100TB of drives that have been mining with no issues for months. When I found the asset exchange I started to diversify my upgrades and re invest my earnings here.
