Elon Musk got questioned many times in regards to the name of the new Tesla Model 3. Many claim it would be confusing as it´s leading people to believe in it being the 3rd Generation of electric Cars and therefore the latest version offered. But actually the Model 3 is "just" a smaller and cheaper version of the famous Model S, not it´s succeeding model.
Like you could already see/read in the top quote of this Post, Elon Musk originally intended to call the car Model E instead of Model 3. He claims that this was actually based on dumb humor reasons as all the models names would have added up to the word "SEX"...
Anyways the Name "Model E" was already reserved by Ford, who sued Tesla therefore and forced them to look for another name instead. Due to this Elon Musk came up with the Model 3 as it would still keep the original humor in some way adding up to "S3X" in the end...
"Model 3 was going to be called Model E, for obvious dumb humor reasons, but Ford sued to block it, so now it is S3X. Totally different :)"

I guess this case shows, that we don´t have to be too serious all the time when it comes down to Business. As you may see even such a mistake like the one from Elon Musk doesn´t stop the success from kicking in whenever you´re working hard for it.
