Newcastle United have completed the signing of Hoffenheim striker Joelinton for a club-record deal of £40m.
Newcastle's quest for a striker to fill in for Ayoze Perez who left for Leicester City has come to an end as they were forced to break the bank for Hoffenheim striker Joelinton. The 22-year-old striker has been the target of Newcastle since the departure of their frontman Ayoze Perez.
Joelinton appeared 35 times and scored 11 times in all competitions last season for Hoffenheim which made him a high future prospect. Newcastle couldn't offer less than to offer a 6-year deal to Joelinton which was agreed on.
