Manchester United are closer on securing Harry Maguire from Leicester City for a record fee.
There was a twist in the Manchester United and Leicester City saga on Harry Maguire. Leicester City are keen on keeping the defender at King Power Stadium but persistent Manchester United forced a new phase to evolve in the pursuit to sign the England international.
Maguire was valued by Leicester City for a world record fee of £90m for a defender and Manchester United were able to meet an £80m price which Leicester City considered fair enough for a deal since Maguire himself is frustrated already and want to leave.
Yesterday, it was reported that Manchester United are in discussion with Maguire to discuss personal terms after which he will be subjected to medical immediately. Currently, we are yet to get any news but in an interview with Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he talked about how hopeful he is over the announcement of Maguire, saying it will be "very soon".
