A policeman was stabbed Wednesday at Flint, Michigan, in the north of the country, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which announced it was investigating the incident as a "terrorist" act.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a suspect arrest and investigation after the Flint airport attack.
Earlier, the office described the incident as "isolated," noting that "it did not have specific information about a threat to the Flint community."
Police officer Jeff Navell was stabbed to death by someone shouting "Allahu Akbar," a police source said. "You killed people in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan and we all die," NBC News reported.
The US Justice Department later announced that the suspect was Amr Fattouhi, 49, from Quebec, Canada, and arrived in the United States on June 16.
No passenger was hurt in the attack, according to the airport, which was evacuated and closed until further notice, while a spokesman for the police in Michigan state that the condition of the injured policeman stable after undergoing surgery.
