In the main, Caitlin Johnstone is right, and as an American, it is painful that what she says is true, and very good that she is saying it, and more than amply backing it up with photos. At the same time the graphic reference to McCain, an infamous war criminal, and to erections seemed to distract from and diminish a little the meaning of this article. Still it is a valuable essay and I am glad to read it and grateful that she wrote it. In a way I think it is a wonder that, with all that is going on, that along with Ms. Johnstone's sense of justice, including a very much needed anger, she also keeps in mind those Americans whose lives are being thrown away by this country.
