A hospital in a trendy subburb of Tokyo is offering a new special package for those that want to have their babies delivered in a room model after the 19th-century Empress Elizabeth of Austria..
They are offering a package called the Elizabeth Plan and it comes with a room like this below
The room comes with all the ementites such as high class meals and of course afternoon tea. These robes are also for quests to nursing as well as the standard gown.
Don't fret if you can't afford to give birth like a Queen, they do also offer other packages that have rooms such as these.
But don't expect the outside of the place to look like a small castle. It actually just like any other standard building you'd find in this megatropolis.
I think if the person has the money, and wants a unique experience then it could be a real cool memory for the family. As long as nothing is sacrificed in ragards to care then I think it would be cool to see this trend tried in other expensive cities with different types of themes.
I don't see an English version and have no idea if they English speeking doctors and/or staff to accomodate overseas guests. But Chinese visitors have been coming a lot to Japan lately and I could see some of them maybe wanting to try this hospital.
