Hello from the top of the it's me from Nepal. Hope you all are fine of steemit members.
Today i would describe about the cotton.
Cotton seeds are loaded onto a truck after being separated from cotton fiber in of the two cotton gins at Fazenda Maraba in Campo Verde, Brazil.
Vertical integration, the concept of utilizing all parts of a crop , is one of the biggest in large-scale agriculture and is the key to maximizing profit at an operation such as this. Since transportation costs are high in Western Brazil, the owner turned Fazenda Maraba into an industrial centre. Cotton from the others company farms is transported here by a fleet of 13 trucks - each 30 metres long - then ginned.
The seeds are used to produce biodiesel in the company own biodiesel plant and the remaining cotton-seed cake is used as a high protein feed for the 40000 head of the cattle while their manure, in tum, fertilizes the cotton field. These selection comes from " The Road ", which is just one of the project's many chapters and tells the story of how Western Brazil Soy highway is allowing the religious agricultural boom to push deeper and deeper into the Amazon basin.
