The standard of journalism in privately owned channels is pathetic, not all of them, but I write for most of them the types range from fake rumors to simply outrageous accusations with no rack of solid material to support them.
There are countless flows in the reporting from private TV channels, and they seem to grow. Long has they have fought the war to keep the private new networks free but alas they have forgotten what free media really means it does not mean that with your shiny private news badge to invade someone's privacy and ask them questions they don't want to answer.
It is a game of thrones for those who have the highest ratings to be the kind these news channels will break their ethical standards.
For example, in most national news segments, they put on music no not simple music but really inappropriate Bollywood songs.
Whenever a tragedy happens in which many have died, they keep on showing the horrific scene of how they die and there was this one time in which I watched a man get shot on the recorded program right after someone dies the race begins between the new channel to see who get to the relatives first this is not ethical when someone loses someone’s they should be given some space and some time to mourn.
Then there is the snooping that's done by the private news networks in an ordinary citizen's life. Talk-show has openly discussed the personal details of someone who wants just a little privacy in their thirst for ratings. They have forgotten what free media really means.
The private news association should carve out some boundaries in which these private channels should remain and they should cut those who break these rules off the air. Free media promotes the people's demands and stories of the struggle to the world.
