Sayyid Fahd meets Egyptian President, hails strong ties

** Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el Sisi received in his residence at Al Alam Palace Guesthouse on Monday, Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, within the framework of his visit to Oman.
At the meeting, Sayyid Fahd stressed the importance of the visit of Egyptian President in boosting the strong relations between the two countries. He hailed the role of Egypt in pursuing friendly ties with Oman.
President Sisi commended the talks he held with His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. He thanked His Majesty the Sultan, the Omani government and people for the attention and appreciation accorded to the visit.
President Sisi affirmed his admiration for the landmarks he visited as well as the comprehensive development being witnessed under the leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.
During the meeting, a range of matters pertaining to cooperation between the two countries in several fields were reviewed. The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs (Head of the Mission of Honour Accompanying the Guest), Sheikh al Fadhl bin Mohammed al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd al Said, Assistant Secretary General in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs and Dr Ali bin Ahmed al Issa’ee, Oman’s Ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League
