Public Opinion: the collective opinion of many people on some issue, problem, etc.,especially as a guide to action, decision, or the like.

Opinion polls are used frequently in advertisements and political campaigns to gauge where public opinion lies on a certain issue. These polls are used to create statistics to give to the public, to convince them to buy a new product or vote for someone in an upcoming election. Some opinion polls statistics are so eye opening, it can change the way people feel about something in an instant. Think of a statistic that surprised you that you heard online. How do you know if that statistic was correct? The truth is a lot of the opinion polls that are referenced are wildly inaccurate and extremely biased. I can understand the usefulness of opinion polls but what is the point of them if we don’t know how accurate they are?

Overview

Clear Poll plans to fix this problem. Clear Poll is an app that allows users to vote on different topics that are suggested by other users. Anyone can create a topic and the topics with the most votes become active polls for everyone to vote on. The Clear Poll app will be available on IPhone and Android app stores. Clear Poll has been set up this way for 2 reasons:

1. By allowing wider participation by making polls easily accessible through the Clear Poll app, this will provide more accurate opinion polls.
2. Because topics with the most votes become polls, the users decide what topics are the most important to them.
   The results to every poll will be recorded on the blockchain. The blockchain is a ledger that keeps track of all transactions. Once a result is added to the blockchain it cannot be altered in any way, shape or form. This allows all poll results to be open to the public and creates a transparent opinion poll library. Clear Poll is working to make it more difficult for false data to be spread with transparent and accurate media.

   POLL tokens will be used in 4 different ways:

   a. Nodes are part of the Clear Poll network; users can run nodes and get compensation for having the node up a certain amount of time.
4. Advertising. The Clear Poll Advertising network offers ad space to corporate clients, in exchange for POLL tokens.
5. Clear Poll Plus. Ad advanced poll results metrics service designed for journalists and marketing professionals, accessible only with POLL tokens.
6. Sponsored Polls. Corporate clients can create sponsored polls, accessible only with POLL tokens. These polls appear in their own special section and feature advanced data metrics to provide great marketing insights.

1. Burn Rate: 1000 Reserve POLL per poll that is completed
   a. 10% of all the POLL tokens are going into a reserve to be “burned” (destroyed). For every poll that is completed on the app 100 POLL will be destroyed. When all of the reserve tokens are burned theoretically all remaining tokens will increase in value due to shorter supply.

What I Think

I feel that Clear Poll is a great idea. Making these public opinion polls will allow a person to be more informed and act accordingly. I also like the fact that Clear Poll is continuing the crypto-revolution by giving the power back to the people. No more can fake news and biased groups lie to the public with outrageous statistics and claims. I feel Clear Poll is the checks and balances system that we all didn’t know we needed. I love the innovative idea and the fact that it is available on IOS and Android for FREE. This allows the public to record their opinions on different subjects on a safe and tamper proof platform. Couple this with the marketing capabilities that I feel it has I will definitely be keeping my eyes out for this one.
