I think this could do a lot for the art world. Instead of selling a painting you can now create tokens that represent the painting and sell them off as you would shares in a company. This means that you can own a tenth of a painting or even 1/100th of it. What this does is open the art world to a lot more people who want to own art that could not afford the entire piece. Sure it is not the same without hanging it on the wall but it does open a new way to invest.
I found this video where bitcoin is being used heavily in Singapore and they talk to people who are selling paintings with tokens as well as how they use cash less there. I do think we are heading to a cashless society in the near future.
