Sifting through my emails this morning I came across a welcomed message from ROCKI, with a link to the site which can be found at rocki.app.
People may remember the choon.co website a music streaming platform for listeners and artists alike that used to pay artists in $NOTES digital currency, the site was actually great it had a plethora of great artists and a huge archive of daily/weekly/monthly tracks regularly updated and the ability to listen to them free of any restrictions or monthly tariffs.
Unfortunately choon came to an end and artists were then presented with the option to migrate there $NOTES currency to the emanate platform which...well never really materialised the $NOTES never got added to the accounts by emanate and still haven't started allowing the withdrawal of the earnings that artists make plus the site will supposedly require a subscription to use it eventually and a fee for anyone who even wants to add music as an artist.
Well i personally miss choon my self it was a far superior service in relation to payments it was all ready to rock and roll you could if you wanted withdraw the $NOTES which could be directly converted to etherium in the wallet on the site, although they fell into financial difficulty eventually before many people actually withdrew their $NOTES.

So in steps ROCKI built from scratch via an entirely new code base but still taking some of the better known sets of features from the old choon service and re-vamping them and incorporating them into the new code base ROCKI are also going to be honoring the original choon $NOTES at a ratio of 1 rocks token currency per 50 $NOTES currency you previously had in your old choon account if you had one.
they already have artists posting new tracks to the site as I write this and they are free to listen to they kept the old model of daily/weekly/monthly tracks sub-sections and hopefully they will thrive.
They are currently in the process of emailing previous choon memebers with the news they are coming soon and will be setting up their old account balances in their automatically generated new ROCKI accounts and that once that is out of the way the site is going to be providing both fiat and crypto currency payments listed on exchanges and the beta of the website for artists uploads should become fully operational.
This couldn't come at a better time for my self and I suspect other artists, as the whole sector seems flooded awash with many music streaming platforms on the various blockchains, yet they either don't hold a candle to what choon once was and none appear to be thriving albeit rather they seem gradually shrinking along with any payments to the artist.
But one added bonus to ROCKI is that they will be paying users who stream music on an add based model to unlike practically all other available blockchain music streaming platforms and that is something i have always said needs to happen for any service to succeed, so let's hold tight and see what happens.
I have already made an exclusive track to post there this morning and it's just a waiting game now to see what comes of it all.

Where there is a lot of activity building and a constant flow of chatter, people seem to be getting very excited about it i am one of those people let's hope this becomes a big staple and pays artists it's the missing link for many artists not getting anywhere on spotify etc.
I have spoken to Bjorn Niclas live on Telegram just to get a rough guess as to the timeline for the service and accounts transfer for artists and this was what he had to say.
So I don't blame him he doesn't want to over state a specific timeline, but it's so far seeming good for this to go through in a matter of weeks but let's not jinx it as Bjorn said let's not overstate or over expect this but it's given a great base idea for where they are with the project to date.
