An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 magnitude shook Bengkulu. Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) released the earthquake occurred on Thursday (22/3) at around 07:08 pm.
The epicenter is located at coordinates 4.66 South Latitude and 102.78 East Longitude, or 46 km southwest of South Bengkulu Regency.
BMKG revealed that the earthquake in the sea has a depth of 28 km. However, BMKG stated that this quake did not have the potential to cause a tsunami.
So far, there has been no official report from the local BNPB or BPBD related to the impact of this earthquake.
