This is the story of a country that will soon be isolated from the rest of the world. It'll be similar to what happens in Cuba because or flavor of tyranny isn't Asian style. That is, we are not North Korea, don't you worry.
But we are like Cuba. So, The Mighty People (Bravo Pueblo in Venezuela's national anthem) complain whenever the price of a service is raised to keep up with inflation. The government won't pay its due with international service providers, resulting in shitty domestic services.
On the other hand there's Aporrea.org. That's a website that was born and raised to be in support of the government. It's filled with people of the left and they did their duty faithfully enough until everything started to collapse. They are the check and balances side of Chavism, except that they only complain in a very submissive manner. They will never really raise their voices and their fists against the system that is screwing everything up: in part because they belong to that system and in part because they still wish it'll work somehow.
Well, the newest news is that they have been noticing that the Internet service provided by C.A.N.T.V. (the national phone company of Venezuela), is not working as well as it used to but, to top that, customer service is also unable to tell customers contacting via the call center why, and their excuse is: "well, our system is failing too. Call again 24hrs later. Thank you."
What is the solution? Either to flee the country or to demand individual and economic freedoms which would allow for free market and more companies providing better and cheaper services. The latter is the best choice a country in Venezuela's situation could take, but knowing that Venezuelans fear freedom of any kind as if it were a plague, I know what the solution shall be:
