If you're reading this, it doesn't matter if you call yourself a tribe, a community or a collective, all that matters is that you belong to #teamsteem.
The new momentum brought forward by the most recent #hardfork has brought a group of individuals closer together. Thanks to all the hard work and development by witnesses and individuals, they now bringing us #newsteem.
Is #newsteem really just a marketing strategy?
- That's just something we will find out in time.
Is #newsteem a new ethos and a new way of looking at steemit.
- Definitely yes.
But what I have noticed is that #newsteem has brought a whole new attitude to the steemit platform. Members are beginning to overlook the imperfections of the past, the reward pool rapers, circle jerk groups and bidbots are all having to find a new way to survive.
#newsteem has accepted its faults, it has rebranded itself. Its buried #oldsteem and is marching on. It recognized its own failures and looked for ways to correct them. They've managed to put a positive spin on all the old pitfalls and wants to recognize excellence and promote excellence.
The 50/50 post split is starting to pay dividend, with larger accounts recognising the importance of not only upvoting excellent posts but promoting them too.
The downvote pool is curbing the #shitposts from reaching the trending pages and although I can't see it forcing them all out. I'm sure steemians will look to reduce their use.
NEWSTEEM = SUSTAINABLE STEEM
I was, and still am on the fence about what #newsteem brings to the table. Can the driving forces behind newsteem really make their dreams a reality?
All I do know is that the idiology behind it rings true, and for everyone's sake we all need to get on board. It's safe to say that "team work WILL make the steem work" and that will benefit us all.
