The new year started on a very heated note between North korea and the United states of America, both issuing threat and counter threats of great magnitude.
Tension has never been this high since brohaha between the two countires over the possession of a nuclear power, greater than it was!last year with the insistent missile launching and testing.
In a new year address Kim boasted that he had taken Pyongyang to greater heights against all odds and achieving a major feat of completing its nuclear forces
And the it had the the technology and nuclear lower to strike and hit the entire United states mainland, which was now within range. Emphatically stating that he had the button right on his table!
But he didn't end there! He went further to state that the US would never dear start a war with the North.
Just two weeks earlier Kim had said sanctions would not bring the Pyongyang to its knees and the isolated country would not give up on its nuclear struggle.
As you can tell this slap on the face didnt go down well with twitter loving American president Donald Trump, who ever since his taking office has never relented in throwing words off the bat, especially on twitter.
This public humiliation would and didn't go unanswered as the Trump shot back. As he probably had not just his ego to save, but the face of America. You can tell he isn't looking happy:)
On one hand, North Korea say it wants, has legitimate and sovereign rights to pursue nuclear technology and power for the protection of its sovereignty and defence against aggressors
While on another arm, we have America which stands as a world police, and clearly disagree, stating genuine reasons. One of which being thata crazy people shouldn't have nuclear power at their finger tips.
So whats my opinion in all this.
Well for one North korea actually has right to pursue what ever military power the deam fit. After all its their country, resources and technology. Every country is entitled to this and there shouldn't be any restrictions whatsoever. Because we are all equal. American has nuclear power, so does Russia, Germany, China, Isreal, United kingdom, France etc
Why shouldnt the North have it if they want it, who prevented the aforementioned countries from having theirs.
So personally, I think (speaking psychological) that North should be allowed to pursue it nuclear power and even perfect it. When that is done they would know and realize that with :
"Great Power Comes Great Responsibility."
To America! I say instead of throwing threat and sanctions that create unnecessary tension in the regions. I would advocate that you sit at a round table and educate on the consequence of having a nuclear power, the responsibilities that come with nuclear arsenals and the Norths responsibility to the region as one on the major plays there.
I will end this with a qoute from me:
"The threat of war is more effective than war itself depending on the degree and number of time the threat war is issued"
In this case the threats of war has been over used and rendered ineffective. north korea has risen let the world accept that and move on to a round table
