All New Here: Introducing Me!

Hello all!

So this will be my very first post here on Steemit, so consider this as my intro post.

My name is Barbs, and I'm just a student. Nothing fancy. I came to know this site because my Computer Teacher introduced me to this (follow her: Hive account@rhei86). While I was coding a Visual Basic program, she approached me and asked about my interest in writing (I'm a school reporter). She then introduced me to this wonderful site, and I immediately signed up. (easy to convince right? #money!)

A few days later, my confirmation email came, and the rest is surely history.

To tell you more about me, I have a great interest in two-way radio communications. I have the "Two Way Walkie Talkie" app installed on my iPhone 5c. I also love reading the news, either in a news app, or with the newspaper.
