“We learn from history that we do not learn from history.”
she was quoting some dude
(probably a dead white man)
another thing she said was

"History repeats itself because no one was listening the first time."

my take on this is that it doesn't matter.
Even IFpeople learned some history, (how many do?)

• History is a lie and it always has been.
  History is written by the winners.
  then it's revised by those who come to power when the winners die.
  then it's revised again when THOSE people dies.
  Wash, Rinse and Repeat.
  We have NO idea what really happened...
  none...nada...zilch..zero
  So why not make a nice fluffy, pretty history that makes us feel good.
  Got to keep the millennials happy.
  The truth might scare them.
