The Historic NFT Fest will be on October 28-30 in Barcelona, Spain and will be the first of its kind! I am so excited to not only attend, I’ll be speaking there too. If you can make it to Barcelona, you definitely should go because there won’t be any other NFT parties like this one. Get your tickets here for the event: https://tickets.hnft.community/#/buy
The fest will take place in a historic palace, which was frequented by Salvador Dali back in the day. Check out all the details here: https://hnft.community/
After thinking about what my topic should be, I have decided to speak about my decision to make my satirical NFT project CryptoStellas a cc0/public domain project, and how I arrived at that decision. I’ll be sharing details of my first creative commons cryptoart project, Slothicorn as well, because that is where my journey of creative commons began.
But first, I want to share with you some details about the Historic NFT Fest, which is the brainchild of DADA, the historic NFT art project founded by Beatriz Ramos and Judy Mam. Beatriz and Judy along with the DADA community, created the Creeps and Weirdos NFT project in 2017, and afaik were the first ones to code artist royalties into smart contracts. I interviewed them in 2018, here we all are:
I will be bringing with me my tiny book of Slothicorn art, which was a collection of art created by artists in the Slothicorn collective, way back when on the Steem blockchain.
I hope to see you all there!
