There hasn't been any new development on the NiceHash break-in. The site is still down and I don't expect it to be up and running anytime soon.
In the meantime, the NiceHash team published a live video on Facebook explaining the happening of the night when their system was broken into and around 4000 BTC was stolen.

Marko Kobal, the CEO and NiceHash cofounder, together with Matjaz Skorjanc, the original author of NiceHash miner software, explained the situation and told how they cooperate with authorities in investigating the break-in.
Nice to see that they are keeping the communication with the community open and that they are as transparent as possible.
On the other hand, they didn't mention anything about recovering or reimbursing the lost funds. Nor when the site will be up and running again.
It is way too early to predict anything about it, I am afraid.
