OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 2123rd compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

The main thing, besides of course being all together with our families, is coloring Easter eggs. One of them, the first one, traditionally red and the most joyful, we keep as The guardian egg of the home. This blog will be about how I dyed eggs on Good Friday. I first boiled 100 of them, really well, for about 20 minutes, because we like them hard boiled and they last longer that way, they truly are something special. Throughout the year, whenever we feel like eating a boiled egg, we tend to say it's nice, well cooked, but not like Easter eggs. And it really is always like that. I'm sure the holy water I added while they were boiling contributes to that as well, the one our priest blessed in every Orthodox home during the Easter fast.

There was a parade practice happening at the Ridge in my town. It looked like a preparation for the upcoming Statehood Day parade. I don’t usually attend these kinds of events because I rarely get the time, so it felt a little different to just stand there and watch. A lot of people had gathered around, clicking pictures and videos, so I ended up taking a few photos too.

There are days when just seeing those everyday foods transports my memory back to the past, recalling how certain foods delighted my taste buds. And in those moments, I long to savor that special cake that made my mouth water in my youth, since that pleasure was reserved for special occasions. I'm talking about everyday food, delicious bread; there were many of us at home, and bread was bought every day. There were times when the bread would go stale, and no one would eat it. With the ingenuity of our grandmothers, they began to make bread cakes; those were our first homemade cakes.

As many of us have come to experience in our lives, friendship is a fundamental pillar of our well-being, not only emotional but also spiritual. Personally, I identify with the popular saying that friends are the family we choose, and these relationships should always be based on affection, solidarity, honesty, and unconditional love.

Hi everyone, there's something I remember vividly: when I was a child, whenever my aunt showed us movies on Saturdays at my grandmother's house, she would always show commercials for other films at the beginning of each one. These commercials were quite fantastical and, to a certain extent, captivating, but that was very common in the DVD era. The thing is, we've always been surrounded by movies with strange or unexpected contexts, sometimes with a bizarre twist, especially with last year's boom of films that lost their original rights and were used to create other ideas or projects. So, just the other day, during a movie night on a call, we stumbled upon one that I must say struck me as random, blurry, and strange. So today I'll share my opinion on "Popeye's Revenge."

I inherited these banknotes from my father, although most of them were acquired and passed down to the family while I was present.

My father’s interest in numismatics lasted only a few years—perhaps two or three—though as a witness and young companion to this hobby of his, I can say I had a wonderful time during those shared moments.

I believe it was my uncle Miguel who was responsible for encouraging my father to take up what became a new hobby. My uncle was a great collector of banknotes and postage stamps, so every Sunday became a new opportunity to go to Madrid’s Plaza Mayor in search of some rare specimen.

The message behind the song is simple but powerful: there is truly no one like Jesus. His faithfulness, His mercy, and His presence in our lives cannot be compared to anything else. Writing this song came from a place of reflection—thinking about how far He has brought me and how He continues to sustain me daily. It is both a testimony and a declaration of my faith.

I don’t remember what we said to each other as we parted, whether we were young or old, or whether it was with a hug or a passionate kiss; I only know that our eyes met in that final moment and that I would recognise that look when I saw it again, because in that moment we agreed to find one another, and even though our new bodies may not know it in this new life, that look is the window to the soul, and it would know who you are.

Today I’m delighted to share with you a very important milestone for a member of the family—because, yes, we’re practically family. It’s about my dear friend Roslyn’s graduation with a Master of Science in Gas Engineering. Ever since she decided to continue her professional education, I’ve witnessed all the effort, sweat, and tears it took her to reach her goal, and I never once heard her say she was going to give up, so I really admire her determination 🥳.
