OCD's support is expanding!
Hello everyone! This is the 2195th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.
This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.
How this Works
OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.
This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.
Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Greetings, fellow #LadiesOfHive hivers! Today, I'm here to share a thought that recently came to me when I saw a tiny ant carrying away a piece of food much larger than itself with incredible willpower. It dragged it a long way across the kitchen and never let go of that piece of bread, which was three times its size. Watching it do that inspired me to write the following.

When the mask of the liar is used, the one who prefers to hide the truth through lies, whether to avoid being harmed, to hide his own truth or to make others feel his own lies as true for the simple fact of doing something bad, a mask that is sometimes so difficult to decipher as one that can be used from different points that can harm or not according to what you want to do, likewise there is the mask of the one who knows everything, but in reality only hides the rest that he lacks to understand, in order not to be judged for his failures he prefers to do that nothing happens, that he knows everything and that is enough.

We are a pattern that is gradually tearing apart with greater force. There is no longer any novelty that, in my personal opinion, can awaken any hope that leads us to believe that things will improve. I remember that since I was a child, I heard older people say that the future of the world would get better and better, and that certain advances in technology, science, or medicine could lead us to believe in a fictional reality that cannot be sustained because it simply does not exist, only in our thoughts but without taking us anywhere. It would be a good experiment to compare the concept of reality at various stages of life and see how much we have achieved in honour of what many longed for but never got to see.

So I've decided to return to Linux. I've had an "on again, off again" love affair with the platform since the mid 90s. Back then you had to configure everything, networking was a nightmare, and chances are you had to create your own drivers for some of the hardware on your computer. Man, has Linux come a long way since then.

Here I go again, completely missing the new topic. When mipiano says pens, I write about CDs. When she says books, what do I do? Of course, I bring out my collection of old and current banknotes and coins. Always going in the opposite direction. But she won't be mad at me, I know. 🤭

When I lived in Argentina, I went to the cinema, although not regularly for financial reasons at first and then perhaps due to lack of time, work and other circumstances. But I always loved films. I saved going to the cinema for films that were really worth seeing, those that I considered, based on my own criteria, to be preferable to watch on the big screen due to their visual details or impact. One of them was Avatar, the first one, to give you an example. And I remember that the film I went to see three times at the cinema was Titanic.

This was planted in our yard by my mother. The only things that remind us of her are the plants that surround us. Because she enjoyed planting flowers and vegetables when she was alive. The next flower I'll share are my aunt's flowers, which we passed by. We went to their house because it was raining, so we took shelter with them, and I couldn't ignore her flowers in her garden, so I photographed them.

It’s not something you see in tourist photos or on Instagram profiles. There’s no dramatic lighting or spectacular framing. There is just a man—or maybe a woman, it doesn’t matter—who, every morning, without anyone asking, sweeps leaves, papers, and small debris that aren’t theirs. It’s a silent choreography: the movement of the broom, the slow rhythm of their steps, the crunch of trash gathering into a single pile.

We analyze the evolution of Carlos Baute, the artist who achieved the feat of taking Venezuelan folklore and pop to the top of the European and world charts.

You see, a couple of weeks ago, when I got together with family I hadn't seen in a long time for afternoon tea, they brought a delicious pineapple cake, which really impressed me because I think it's very Venezuelan. I used to eat pineapple cake all the time when I was in Venezuela, and here in Argentina I haven't had much luck finding it; maybe it's not as common here as it is there. It was delicious, and I couldn't help but want to recreate it, even though I had never made pineapple cake before, so I wanted to share this process with you.
This concludes this batch's curation report. We would like to congratulate those who are featured and supported. Keep up the good work and continue to explore Hive Communities.
