This post was inspired by my little nephews. The boys, two and three, have no care in the world. Between them, they cause all kinds of commotions in the house and they do exactly what they want to do while adamantly refusing to do anything they don't want to do.
The elder one invented a language with which he speaks to his brother. He would also address any other person with it whenever he feels like. At first you would think he does not know how to speak.
Wait until he has something he wants you to hear or do. When that time comes, he would address you with clear English spoken with an American accent which I suppose he learned from Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon.
Recently, the younger one started doing something I find really amusing. He would stand in front of you and smile very broadly. "I'm laughing," he would say.
Apparently he doesn't know the difference between laughing and smiling. But in case you did not notice
I'm laughing
May you find a reason to smile even when your heart is aching. And make it broad enough that you can confidently tell people: I'm laughing.
Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through for you
Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile
Have a great day.
With love and gratitude,
